Giving cheerfully and sacrificially is a part of worship at Anthem.

A believer labors not to accrue personal wealth or possessions, but to steward God’s resources well and model Jesus to our brothers, sisters, and community. Our work is an effort to serve our Father in all things, and one of the primary ways we serve God is by cheerfully giving God our “firstfruits” (2 Corinthians 9:7; Proverbs 3:9). We call people to give, not by meeting some obligatory percentage, but gladly sacrificing for the sake of the gospel because Jesus sacrificed for us, and all we have is His.

As Christians, we give because of the grace and generosity that God has given us. The bible tells us that the earth is the Lord's and everything in it (Psalm 24:1) and that he's given us, for a short time, a bit of his creation to steward faithfully (1 Corinthians 4:1; 2 Corinthians 5:17-20).

We give generously because God has first been generous to us. We do not give under compulsion or exaction we should offer cheerfully what God has placed on our hearts (2 Corinthians 9:7). The bible descibes the kind of giving that should be part of the church: Generous (2 Corinthians 8:2), willful (2 Corinthians 8:3), God-directed (2 Corinthians 8:5), shared (2 Corinthians 8:6), active (2 Corinthians 8:7), love-motivated (2 Corinthians 8:8), regular (1 Corinthians 16:1-2).

Giving is a part of our worship to God, which is why during every gathering, we have marked give boxes available for you to respond to God's leading.
