Last year we went into the teacher’s lounge at Thousand Oaks High School and showered the teachers with flowers, balloons, desserts, snacks, and drinks. We felt it was one way we could show the staff Jesus’ love and develop a friendship with the school. The impact was amazing! The response changed from skeptical and guarded at the beginning of the year to enthusiastic and welcoming by the end of the year.
We have heard over and over about the encouragement this brings and we have seen practical ways that this has helped students and teachers. We will be doing it again this year on the second Wednesday of the month.
September 9th was our first time this school year for decking out the teacher lounge at Thousand Oaks High School. The staff was excited to see us and welcomed us back with open arms. We are so glad to be back showing them Jesus’ love and developing relationships at the school. We will be doing this every month, usually on the second Wednesday.
If you are interested in joining us, we will be having an interest building party (a.k.a. food and fun) at the Wise’s on Thursday, October 8 at 7:00 p.m.
