Announcing Anthem Summit 2016

If you were a part of Anthem Summit last year, this post needs no introduction. Last year, we stumbled into one of the most valuable and shaping things we do together as a family of churches.

God is doing so many amazing things at Anthem, and we have been witness to many moments together as a family where we have truly seen Jesus grow his church - both in size and maturity!

Anthem Summit came about because part of that growing process has been an increasing need to have a dedicated time and space to do two things: Unite around the vision and mission God has placed before us and equip each other, as the body of Christ, for life, mission and ministry.

So out of these needs and desires, came Anthem Summit, a chance for all of Anthem, whether you are brand new or helped on the original launch team, to come together to worship Jesus, grow together, learn together and rally around What God is doing.

Our dream is for everyone who joins us at Anthem Summit will leave with a sense of understanding of where God is taking us together as family, and you play an important role in that journey.

The Weekend

Anthem Summit is a moment for our family of churches to unite around the vision and mission God has given us and for the body to equip each other for life and ministry.

We will unite together in our ‘main sessions'; worshipping together, praying together, learning from different speakers (from inside and outside of Anthem), and mobilizing as a church for the year ahead.

The body will equip each other throughout the day in 'breakout sessions,’ where different people, with different life experiences will be sharing their stories, training and equipping the body for life and the work of ministry.

Friday night will gather to kick off the summit, and return Saturday for an all day combination of main sessions and breakout sessions led by different facilitators. All are welcome to the Friday night session, and only those registered will be able to attend Saturday.

This year, we are adding in the most requested component missing from our first go at this: childcare. Yes, you hear me right, childcare is now available for Anthem Summit!

2016 Theme

Our focus this year is to turn our attention and training towards how the gospel and mission of Jesus informs our regular, day-to-day lives and brings greater intentionality to the mission of making disciples that God has given to every believer.

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” –Romans 10:14-15

Every believer is transformed by the the work of Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and sent by the Father to go out into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole of creation.

For the single mom, the business owner, for the bagger at Trader Joes, the barista, the VP of a company... we want to see the body of Christ at Anthem, equipping each other to be empowered to fulfill their calling right where God has them.
