All Hands On Deck In Ventura!

We are in exciting times as we as a family get ready to launch our next church: Anthem Ventura! You guys have been incredibly generous and supportive as we are gearing up for our launch. We are so encouraged to hear how you guys step up and are contributing to the mission in Ventura. As you know, Anthem has been and probably will always be an “all hands on deck” church, and we so love that every person is taking ownership over this new gospel movement.

There is a special moment in the book of Acts, where Luke, the writer of both Luke and Acts, joins the story he's been reporting on:

And when he had said these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all. And there was much weeping on the part of all; they embraced Paul and kissed him, being sorrowful most of all because of the word he had spoken, that they would not see his face again. And they accompanied him to the ship. And when we had parted from them and set sail, we came by a straight course to Cos, and the next day to Rhodes, and from there to Patara. And having found a ship crossing to Phoenicia, we went aboard and set sail. (Acts 20:36-21:2 ESV)

Did you guys catch that? Luke's writing went from they and them, to us and we!

When you're apart of the mission, there's no they and them, only us and we, and that has been such a fun part of Anthem's story; to see every person play a part on this mission, because it's not their mission, it's ours. Even though many of you do not live in or near Ventura, you have embraced the mission as if it were your own!

That's so amazing, and I want to continue to give opportunities, especially if you do not live in Ventura, where you can help us out, and just like Luke, jump on the ship with us!

If you would like to contribute to our new church in Ventura, there are three ways you can help:

  1. Help us out on a Sunday - Head to to sign up to help serve in areas like kids, first impression, prayer and media.
  2. Donate items they need for their launch - Head over to their Amazon Wish list and buy some item they need - ranging from crayons for our kids classrooms to locks for our trailer: Or if you have those items, and would like to donate them, let Sherry know and we can take them off the list:
  3. Give to the mission in Ventura - Ventura needs your help financially as it usually takes a while for a new church to become financially stable, and you can help bridge that gap by heading to our give page and setting up a one time or recurring donation to Anthem Ventura:
